Regular verbs Conjugation
The Infinitive
Every German verb has a basic form called the
infinitive.
You can recognize the infinitive by its ending "-en"
(or sometimes "-n").
Conjugation
When conjugating a verb, each personal pronoun gets a specific verb
ending (see table).
Examples
- Ich komme
nach Hause. (I come
home.)
- Sie wohnt
in Italien. (She lives in
Italy.)
- Wir studieren
Mathe. (We study
math.)
- Du lernst
Deutsch. (You learn
German.)
- Er spielt
Fußball. (He plays
football.)
- Ihr arbeitet
heute. (You all work
today.)
